🌸 Think Pink 🌸

Not only should we think pink, but we should think positively. As an undergrad law major, I can attest to the amount of stress that comes with finals season. The countless hours of essay writing and treaty memorizing is tedious. However, with a healthy lifestyle and positive thinking, the gloom to the ‘end of all ends’ is somewhat less gloomy. Here are some tips:
Make a detailed agenda, or my new favorite, start your very own bullet journal. Organization and careful planning is key!
Plan your outfits on the weekend or the night before to keep your last minute’s in line.
Keep your environment clean and clutter free. This has helped clear my mind and it is one less thing to worry about.
For this look book, I wanted to keep things on the bright side. I’m not the biggest fan of color, but I’m putting myself in an unfamiliar position and approaching pinks full speed ahead. If you are stuck in a regimented style I challenge you to approach the unfamiliar too. Here are some outfit ideas to brighten your day! Enjoy, xx.
Outfit 1: Anything is Possible, with Sunshine and a Little Pink.

Instead of an outfit description, I want to give an empowerment speech...well, close to one. Like you may have heard before, you can never be overdressed or overeducated. I think the best and worst example I can give you is that of Elle Woods. Sorority queen who gets accepted into Harvard Law. I understand the need to dress as a professional, it is how people take your seriously. Despite this, do not think a pretty girl can not be smart. Heck, prove everyone wrong and be amazing at both! We do not need social approval in order to be successful.

Outfit 2: Do you Have This in Pink?

Along the lines of that, Mohadesa Najumi, a writer, social scientist and intersectional feminist, states, “the woman who does not require validation from anyone is the most feared individual on the planet” (boys, this applies to you as well). In a fashion world filled with numerous creative thinkers, where do we fit in as an individual? I say, do not think, rather, do. Simply be yourself and be your own source of inspiration.

Last but certainly not least comes a quote from the empowering Eleanor Roosevelt. She states, “you gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” And with this, I think it explains itself. My nana always told me that in times of difficulty you should say to the world, “thank you, but what’s next?” Approach every obstacle with confidence and grace and you will find that success is your answer.
