There is nothing more exciting than the unofficial start to summer. It is the commencement of longer sunshine, beach vacations, and carefree lifestyles. With the 4th of July quickly approaching us, what better way to be prepared for your festivities than dressing for the occasion? Here are a few outfit inspirations to express your patriotism.
Outfit 1: Red, White, and You.

The easiest option for dressing from sunrise to sunset is to wear a dress. Navy, white, or red are the perfect colors for showing your patriotic pride. Pair with a bandana around your neck, in your hair, or on your wrist to add a sprinkle of detail. To finish off the look, slip on your favorite pair of white sneakers, espadrilles, or loud colored lace-up sandals. Then, you are good to go. The perfect combination of effortless and classic, a look that will last you well into the night.

Outfit 2: Beach Blues

Beach vibes are not complete without seersucker. Bring out your inner preppy side with colorful 6-inch shorts paired with your favorite pair of boat shoes or leather flip-flops. Wear this outfit well into the night by adding a sweater, and for extra effect, wear your hood while gazing at the fireworks.

Outfit 3: Fireworks by the Beach

Perhaps you're at the beach in your favorite one piece bathing suit and deciding what to wear is the least bit of your worries. Don't fret, I've got you covered. A cute pair of shorts or a festive skirt is the perfect compliment to your beachwear. Dress up the look by adding a pair of slide on loafers and a jean jacket. If the sun is still shining, don't forget your obligatory beach hat.

Outfit 4: Vineyard Vibes

Simplicity is key with this outfit. One can never go wrong with a white tee paired with shorts. To express your patriotism, add red, white, and blue to your outfit. Don't be afraid to go overboard with the patterns and colors, keeping the structure simple is a perfect base to be creative in the design.

Outfit 5: Flagged

Dressing up isn't at the top of everyone's casual BBQ, lake party, or firework lounging list. That's understandable. Pair the most patriotic (or comfortable) summer sweater that you own with a classic pair of shorts, such as a timeless seersucker print or go bold with gingham. By adding a pair or sneakers, the look becomes casual. Swapping out the sneakers for sandals and the shorts for a skirt, you'll be able to dance the cool summer night away.

Outfit 6: Land and Sea

Spending your 4th by the water? No problem. Summer inspired outfits can transition to the dock easily. Swap out shorts for a pair of light wash jeans and cuff them at the bottom for a more casual look. Next, throw on a three-quarter vip sweater and you are all set. If the sun is still shining, don't forget a baseball cap to complete the look.
